Doing Biology! (Finally)

This quarter, I took Biology 200, the second course of the intro bio series (one step closer to getting into my major!). While Biology 180 was interesting and engaging, it was pretty basic, and we didn't really get to do any wet labs. So, I was very excited to do some more advanced wet labs in Bio 200. I really enjoyed getting some hands-on experience, though limited, on performing actual biological laboratory practices. Initially, I was a bit nervous about this class being much more challenging than Bio 180. While it certainly had its difficulties, I was able to succeed in this class and really enjoyed learning about the more in-depth topics, like cellular respiration. I also enjoyed doing labs like gel electrophoresis. I had done electrophoresis before, but it was nice to practice my skills, and I ended up getting a very clear gel (see below)! Overall, I'm grateful for the bio I got to do in this class and I'm proud of myself for how I ended the class academically.
