Shooting for the stars...and missing
This quarter, I decided I wanted to apply for the Mary Gates Research Scholarship. This is a really prestigious scholarship given out for research projects at UW. Since I was going to be getting started on my own project at work in my lab anyways, I thought it was good timing. My PI and manager in my lab helped me to formulate my project and design it. Interning!
This quarter, I began my year-long stint as the First-Year Engagement Intern at Hillel UW. Hillel is a Jewish community organization that provides resources and events to support and connect Jewish students at UW. Last year, I got involved at Hillel as a part of the B' Mitzvah cohort (check out my blog post here ) . Storytelling in the Sciences
This quarter, I took Honors 220A: Storytelling in the Sciences. This was my first natural science honors course, so I was a little nervous at first that it'd be a bit more challenging than the others I'd taken. However, I was super excited because I'm a very science-y person, being a biology major, so I thought it'd be cool to take an honors class that overlaps with my main studies a bit more!
